THE DISEASE OF
FANATICISM/IRRATIONAL FANATICISM
By S.P. Attri

1. I do understand Amit's frustration at the
loose and unchained usage of the term "fanaticism" in
general and the disease of fanaticism or irrational fanaticism in
particular. He queries in futulity how he can change people like
these...like this punk from Bangalore.
2. First of all, as the bull**** and rhetoric on
"fanaticism" reaches its fever pitch, it should become
discernible to us, that terms like these have lost their meaning.
Most of these labels are contra-distinctive, to distinguish
between leftists and rightists but have never been really
impartial or accurate. Most of them are loaded with emotion and go
beyond the description and become denunciatory or acclaimatory.
You can name just about anybody as a "fanatic" for
whatever reason you may have for not liking his opinion. The
current differences in meanings of these terms range from 0 to
infinity, in technical and emotional punch and it is not a piece
of cake to bridge this belt-punch gap.
3. However, it should be observed that the furious barrage of
emotionally- packed labels of this type generally comes from the
Phony-Liberal and Leftist Hindus against Concerned Hindus and
Hinduism Defenders. These Phonies are born as Hindus but are
actually ashamed of being Hindus. To them, Hindu and Hinduism have
become "dirty words" and if the Concerned Hindus point
out the Islamic Havoc & Imperialism in India, it comes as a
direct threat to them, it makes them mad as hell, and it makes
them suspect that these Concerned Hindus are planning an
elimination of the poor, deprived Moslem minority population from
India. Through their unreasonable logic of self-righteousness and
extreme intolerance of points of view other than their own (which
would put themselves into the fascist category), for people who do
not subscribe to their methods and mores, they start inventing
terms like "fascists, communalists, fundamentalists",
"imperialists" etc. These terms make no sense at all but
that is the way of the Phony-Liberal self-righteous reasoning.
4. The Phony-Liberal Hindus, consider themselves solid secularists
and paragons of patriotism but refuse to be identified with
Hinduism, let alone Hinduism Defense. As a proof of their alleged
secularism, they support Islam & Christianity in big and small
matters and cannot at all see that both Islam & Christianity
are gospels of hate and terror, abounding in threats of hell-fire
and doom of destruction. They cannot see that these are the two
religions in which war and slaughter of non-Moslems and
non-Christians are the only sacraments. The Moslems and Christians
view these Phony-Liberal Hindus as Kafirs and Pagans/Heathens and
have them on their "Hit List." But the Phony- Liberal
Hindus cannot see the stark reality of these two curses of the
darkest hours of humanity, they grasp and clutch at every straw
and invent labels and terminologies to satisfy their raw ego and
abuse their own Hinduism with terms of abuse like "fascist,
communalist, imperialists" etc. The Phony-liberals are
suffering from identity-crisis and ego-crisis. It is pathetic.
These Phony-Liberals are like the proverbial washer-man's dog: Na
Ghar Ka, Na Ghat Ka
5. To put it briefly and simply, it is not worth that much to us
Concerned Hindus to engage in the war of words or
terminologies/labels etc with them. So don't get caught into a
useless conflict of words, if you can avoid it at all. But if you
cannot avoid it, then go with all you have got, and give it to
them, don't hold anything back. These are my words of sanity.
Awaken Bharat!
